A whole lot about nothing really. You'll get bored I'm sure.

My Weekend

I'm tired. I need a weekend to recover from my weekend. After working a few hours on Saturday, I headed to Skee town thinking I was going to have a bonfire on the beach. Well, my Grandparents arrived a day or so early so I spent the evening at my Moms before I went out. Went out, had a good time. Had some dude lick my neck, but not utter a word to me. Danced a few, and laughed my bootie off at some of the people there. In case you haven't noticed, I love to people watch. Nothing that I can really remember to describe in detail. Then to sleep on the couch at my Mommas. I didn't sleep very well, and the house started to fill up with company about 11. Sigh. It ended up being a good day though. I love spending time with the kids. I'm really starting to have a relationship with the two oldest ones and I really am enjoying that. I even enjoyed it when Paige spit juice all over me. I'm home now, and I'm ready for bed. It's going to be a long but fun week. Don't you wish you could be me?

Trix aren't for kids

I had a really upsetting day today. I woke up this morning, was soo happy to be eating Trix, one of my favorite childhood cereals only to find out...gasp..hang on folks, they aren't round any more. They are all little fruit shaped. Oh, they try to make you pretend it's the same. The oranges are round. THAT is the reason Trix are for kids. They don't remember the orginal version. They are little bitty. I liked the old Trix. Why can't they go back to the old way? Skittles did it and went back to the green one being lime instead of green apple. Do I need to mention Coke? Uh, don't think so. Next, Captian Crunch instead of golden, sweet nuggets, it's going to little treasure chests. I just can't stand it, I'm eating Cheerios from now on.

My Job

I know a few weeks ago I complained about my job. I had reason for that. HOWEVER, I really do love the people I work with. I was thinking today about the different people I've worked with, and how many of them I haven't liked and how lucky I am that I get to work with so many people I have fun with.
My sister, (also known as Bunnyjo) just started working where I do. She got the joy of listening to one of my calls in her traning class. One of the things that stood out (other than the game I was playing or the surprise at the end of the call) was that I had a hard time finding the address because I thought the customer was saying NINTH and she was saying Knight. Part of this problem was the things going on around me. I was sitting at my desk getting pelted by soft baseball replicas, having people laugh and joke around me, and trying to crack me up when I'm on the phone. That is one of our favorite games. How much can you take before you lose it on a call??? I know it sounds very unprofessional, but when you're in sales sometimes you need comic relief to lighten the mood and relieve the stress. Our 'team' is number one in the division right now. I think our love for laughter is part of that reason.
So, anyway. I guess I'm glad I didn't get the 'promised job' I'd miss my sales team, well and the great income. :)

Inapproprite Men

I just finished reading a book called, "Inapproprite Men" by Stacey Ballis. First of all, this book was very funny. Any woman who has been conflicted in a relationship would love this book. Anyway, I do have a point. In the book, she falls in love with a married man. The married man ends up working things out with his wife. She finally ends the relationship goes on miserable date after date after date. This reminds me of me. I meet someone absoulutly wonderful and he's inapproprite. I meet someone else, he isn't going to work out either. It just reminds me that I'm not the only chick who has problems getting a good guy, or being attracted to the wrong kind.

Tick Tock

tick..tick...tick. Wonder what that is? That is the sound of my biological clock. I'm thinking I really wanna be a Momma. I'm almost the big three oh and I need to start thinking seriously about this.
I was walking on the beach last night and I saw a sweet little girl chasing seagulls. She had long, blonde, tangled hair and big blue eyes. She was smaller than the other kids. She was very determined. I think she was trying to catch them. I wanted to scoop her up and take her home, but her to bed smelling like the wind and of the beach.
I know kids pee their pants (Emily) and they don't listen (Emily) and they don't want to go to bed. I just think that I'm ready to experience the joy of motherhood.
Sigh..I need to find a husband.

Office Politics

MAD. FURIOUS. LIVID. I think those might come close to describing what I'm feeling right now. The 'new job' I was assured? Guess what? They can't 'afford' to lose me to that job. WHAT A CROCK! I really wanted this job. I would have been good at it. I'm not going to go into details, but basically I've learned that if you want to get someplace, you need to kiss ass. A good job isn't enough. GRRRR.
I'm still blessed though :p

Hello all. I know, it's been awhile. I've been having to work alot. Bills suck. Wouldn't it be nice instead of having money if we had like a barter system? Everyone was an equal. No one would have finacial strain. The more you barter, the more you have. Period. I know, there would be a lot of flaws with my plan. But it seems unfair when you see good, hard working people struggle because they lack formal education, or oppertunity.
I've been very lucky. I don't have a formal education, and I do pretty well. I know why I do. It's many prayers being answered. I'm blessed.
I got a new car, and a good deal. That's that blessed thing again. Being blessed rules

The "mother" blog

This was a comment posted my mudder.....thought it deserved front page acknowledgement....

Mom said...
I have something to say! I took a couple grandkids down to Muskegon Lake to watch the North Muskegon Fireworks and they were pretty good. However, no one ooohed or ahhed and when it was over I heard not one clap or honk! I realize that American pride has taken a beating lately, but hey, we still have American soldiers stationed in very dangerous places in order to facilitate for others the freedom we enjoy, so why don't people show their appreciation by applauding the explosions that say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMERICA!? At least at the end!

Summer Celebration I

Last night I went to the "Summer Celebration". There was a concert I REALLY wanted to see, and I took the beloved bunnyjo. We got to do my favortie thing, people watch. I'll give you the stand outs. One girl, cute, in a skirt, knelt down...no panties. Older lady, saggy, to her belly button bazooms, and 4 rings per finger, and 20 necklaces. It was like she put on every peice of jewelry she had before she left her trailer. Lots and lots and lots of bad teeth. Next year, bunnyjo and I think we should have two booths there. The first one, what not to wear, we would have been very busy. We would have given gold stars to the 'rockin cool' dressers like bunnyjo and myself. Booth 2 will be a free teeth cleaning booth.
I was really excited about seeing Lit. For those of you who don't know me, I'm right around 5 ft tall. So, 'seeing' Lit is a chore for me. This tank of a dude came and stood 2 inches from my face. I look to the left, I see shoulder, I look to the right I see shoulder. I nicely asked him to move 2 inches either direction so I could see over him. Then for the rest of the concert he was rather rude and everytime someone got in front of me he'd ask me, "should I ask them to move to?" But he didn't do it in a nice way. Bunnyjo thinks I hurt his manly pride.
Bunnyjo..btw..at first was like, I'm too cool so I can't show I'm having any fun. Then she was trying to climb up on stage and get jiggy with it with one of the roadies. You just can't take her anywhere.
