New news

Hello all. I'm pretty tired but thought I'd give you an update. Work is busy, I'm working a lot, but seem to be managing it pretty well. Mom might have another opinion about it..ha ha
The big news is, I'll be moving in a few weeks. I found a duplex that I think is going to work well for me. It' s in Roosevelt park, and is withing walking distance from work..right now anyway. Once the store moves, I'll be further away. I won't be able to move until after Summer Celebration, but after that, Mom and Fritz will get rid of their kid.

So, that means. BBQ at Jamies..IF she ever gets any time off....

BTW..today is day 13 in a row without a day off, and I have no idea when my next full day off will be.

Thanks for the prayers, they must be working.

The verdict is in

Ok..Congrats to my Dad..he got them all right, but ONE! Good job Dad...you need to stop reading my diary, or I need to stop telling you stuff.

So...I know you are all dying to know the true answers from the false...so here goes...

I DID beat up a boy in 5th grade who pissed me off because he said I was trying to break up him and his girlfriend. Well, I was..but there was a good reason for it, I just don't remember what it was. I wrestled him really, my brother taught me how to do a take down and a pin, so that's what I did.

I got a hickey in the back of Rhondas truck (just to clarify, it was from a boy), and Mom and Fritz were in Oklahoma. Chris D was watching us and saw it on my neck, so I told him I got it from her hot tub when I dropped my barrette :) he believed me so 'that's my story, and I'm sticking to it' (The story, not the hot tub vent)

I didn't give old people desert. They don't give old people desert. They don't deserve it, and they don't have the teeth to chew it. (Kidding, they do give it to them, but I wouldn't do something like that)

Believe it or not, I did iron Ray's underware.

I got my nickname Ralphy from my Dad. He says it's because he got tired of answering my questions. My recollection of the name is like this..."Daddy, why is the grass green?" Looking up at him with my blue eyes from Kmart and my white blonde curled hair with a sweet smile on my face.
"Why do you think it's green?"
"Because people flick boogers on it??" I'd ask sweetly knowing my father would never lie to me.
Then..here it is folks..."Right Ralph."

However, now that I'm older, it's now Ralphengator.

I did work at an ice cream shop.

I do write, but don't show it to anyone and would never try to publish it. It's mine, all mine. (and not very good)

This was the non intentional trick question..my friends and I did get strandand at the beach, but we didn't dig a hole to keep warm. My Dad told me never why not to, just not to. (That might have been a "Right Ralph" moment.)

I did run into the wall when I was checking out the hottie. I don't know why I didn't get his number.....

I never skipped school to go to the beach.

Pretty lame huh??

Good guesses everyone.

A story or is it?

Thanks Chilldaddy, yet another tag. Here is my version. Some of the below stories are true some of them are false. No trick stories, and no half truths. They are either all true or all lies. Let's see how well you all think you know me.

- I beat up a boy in 5th grade. In fact, I hang out with him sometimes when he's around still.

- I once got a hickey and told everyone it was from the vent in a hot tub.

- When I worked for the nursing home, I use to give the people who weren't suppose to have desert, desert because I felt sorry for them.

- I use to iron Ray R's underwear.

- I got the nickname Ralphy from getting drunk and throwing up all the time.

- I use to work at an ice cream shop.

- I tried having some of my writing, poems and such, published.

- One time, when my friends and I were at the beach, we got stranded overnight, and we dug a big hole and slept in it to get out of the wind.

- I was at the bar one night talking to a really hot guy and had to go to the bathroom. As I was walking away, I flipped my hair and looked over my shoulder and ran smack dab into the wall.

the last one...

- In high school, I would skip school and go to the beach.

That was really hard for me to do. Good luck.

Sersiously Over worked

One of the cool things about my job is that we sponser community events. The Summer Celebration is coming up, and we will be down there every night there are concerts. It's pretty exciting and it will be a great way to get our name out in the community.
Here is the bad part. Because I'm the only 'employee' in Muskegon County, I'll have to work both at the store and at the concert. They are trying to get other people to cover the nights of the concert, but I'm required to work 4 of them. What this means, is that it turns my 11 hour days into 15 or more hour days. This two week festival will make it so I'll work 80 hours one week, and 74 the next.
Starting June 29th, send some sleep and energy my way, some prayers too if ya think about it. I'll need any help I can get.

Happy Father's Day

I feel very blessed to have 2 dads. My dad and my step dad. They have both taught me a lot and have been towers of strength when I've needed it. Given me good advice and have still loved me when I didn't take it.

Thanks Dad, Thanks Fritz. I'm not sure what I'd do without you.

All work and no play makes Jamie a dull girl. Seems like all I do is work, sleep and eat.
I'm sorry that I don't have any exciting news or anything. Just working.

My Day Off

I enjoyed my day off. I relaxed, and didn't do anything I didn't want to.
Plus, I got to see the Grace and Emmadoodle. I enjoyed that very much.
That's all you get.

Soap Opera

You would be surpirsed at how many people are open with their lives at a cellular store. Let me share the 2 best this week.

A woman came in a few weeks ago and was very worried that she was going to get caught there. She was very concerned about the size of the phone, and making sure it could be set to vibrate, and wanted to make sure the bills could go to another location. The story was, she is married but has a boyfriend that she wanted to make sure she could stay in contact with. She comes in quickly after work, and signs her contract and runs out the door.
Today, she comes back to pay her bill. We start talking and she wants to start another account for her daughter. So, she sets up another account to hide from her husband and demanded that I have a bunch of security things on the account. Plus she told me where she works, and her boyfriend and her husband. I could so easily bust her, yet she feels like she needs to tell me every detail of her personal life.

Story 2. Also a few weeks ago an engaged couple came in and got a 2 year plan. After 14 days you are locked into your contact. Day 15 he comes in and wants to put his phone in his name only. I explain it's too late for that. The next day, the girl calls and wants to shut his phone off. Apparently, he believed some 'lies' that she had been messing around. The next day, he comes in to have a new phone set up. While we are setting everything up, he tells me that she messed up and was being stupid, but if I was willing to call her, he'd make sure she got her money for her phone. So, I call her, give her his new number, and they hook back up. So, Jamie saves the day.

It just amazes me how many people are open with their lives.

Monday Monday

WOW! Today was super busy. I worked 11 hours and didn't even have a spare minute to stop and eat. Had a good sales day. My boss went into labor and had her baby. A little baby boy. She called to tell me within a half hour of having him. So my days of long hours begin. I'm going to go to bed early tonight because I'm caught up on things, and think I should get some rest while I can. I will try to update but really won't have much to tell other than work stuff.
Miss me all.....

Today is my day off, supposedly. I'll prob. end up going in to work though. My regional manager called me to just tell me how great I was. He went on and on about how happy he was that he hired me, and how he felt that my oppertunites were endless at the company. One of the other things that made me happy was he said he felt that I was one of those employees that you say you have no idea how you got along without them. It's been stressful, and I know it will stay stressful for a little while, but I know that the upper management sees my talent and isn't shy about telling me.
YAY Jamie!
