The Update
Just getting back from the hospital. Dad had 2 blockages. One was in an area they already bypassed so not much could be done about it, however it doesn't appear to be a big blockage or something to really worry about. The other blockage they were able to clear out and put in a stent to hopefully prevent it from closing again.
He will have to stay the night but should be able to go home tomorrow. He looked pretty good. Let's just pray that he'll be able to quit smoking now.

I'm with you, Jamie! I love your dad and I want to see him around for many more years to come! Tell him we all need him to quit so we get to have him around for a lot more years!!!!

Smoking can get a deep psychological hold on you so powerful that even if you could shake off the physical cravings, it would still be extremely difficult. So we all need to pray that the strong bond will be broken. For Ray, too.

I don't know what she meant by that, but if your dad needs any advice on the best way to quit, he can give me a call.

I hope your Dad does quit. Although he won't until he's ready and not a minute before. We will keep him in our prayers and to a speedy recovery too.
