Old Friend Ben
Today is a sad day. A few years ago we lost our good friend Ben.
There is so much I could say about Ben, but I want everyone to remember him today, just the way you do.
I miss my friend.

Of course we remember him, we always will. He was one of a kind, he really was. His sense of fun, his twinkling eyes and great smile, always ready to play the fool or get someone going. And yet so thoughtful and kind and caring. He could play drums and keyboard, or comb his hair back and don a pair of sunglasses and look just like James Dean. He knew what everyone liked and did what he did for them. Ben, if only we could have been to you what you were to us.

I mostly remember his obsession with Kiss. I loved hearing him sing their stuff. He had so much fun while doing so.

Further comment by me would only parrot what others have said, I miss him but at the same time I am angry that he would do something so selfish.....but then I think about the good times, the common love of music and laughter and a smile comes to my face.....Hope to see you again sometime old friend

I remember Ben helping me move my furniture and then slow dancing with me. Not in a romantic way, but in a way that he understood what it was to be lonely and sometimes someone just needs to be touched, not so physically isolated from other human beings. Like mom said, he knew what people needed and it was his absolute joy to give them whatever it was. I wish he could have leaned on us as much as we felt comfortable leaning on him. I love you, Ben, and look forward to seeing you again. You are truly truly missed.
