A whole lot about nothing really. You'll get bored I'm sure.

Rhema Bible College and other news

Tonight we went to Rhema Bible College. This is is a college that every year they really put the lights out. I read that they have over 2 million lights. It really is quite something to see. The driveway is tree lined. Each tree trunk was loaded in lights. They had a variety of different animated decorations. There were some very pretty things, and some really neat things. There is a little park area that you can walk thru. It was really neat. There was a bridge with an canopy of lights. There were kids singing christmas carols. It really made me wish I had someone special to share it with. Well, I had my Grandpa and our friend Van, but I meant like a boyfriend or my husband. I tried to take pictures, but there were so many lights, I couldn't get a clear picture. That happened in Vegas too.

Richard Pryor died today. I think it's sad. He really was something else. His movie Toy was the first one I remember watching over and over again. I'm betting he lived a pretty good life and kept the smile on his face. My thoughts are with his family.

When I get back to Michigan, game on. I'm really going to start looking to end my doom of singledom. I know I keep saying it..but it's true.

Be careful you don't hurry into anything though. I remember thinking the same thing when I was in the army and look what happened.

How could they? Were the tortillas not fluffy enough? Was the atmosphere not exciting and authentic anymore? Did the burros not bay in the moonlight? (I might be thinking of werewolfs there, but forgive me, I am in shock).

Don't tell me there were cockroaches in the refried beans.

Alas poor Casa Bonita, I knew thee well.

Do you realize that you have six comments now, and five of them are from me?

If you ever figure out how to edit your links in the sidebar, I want some kind of credit for being your most faithful contributor.

And by the way, in my previous two posts, I actually forgot to mention something with great bearing on the 'Casa Bonita Closure' issue.

Without it, I shall never return to Tulsa. (okay go tell them that and see if they re-open it)

Man this sucks.

Are you just kidding?

Why wouldn't they want to keep open such a magical, delicious restaraunt? Don't they know it was a feast for all our senses?

You could eat your tamale's in the upstairs of a cave near a waterfall for the love of God!

Please tell me this is all a bad dream.

Ummm........ I'm sorry, this post was actually about Jamie coming home and looking for a dude. We should be commenting on that.

(try not to think about Casa Bonita)

Hey, Jamie, I found a pretty good karaoke place for Fridays if you are interested. We could go and suck wind instead of blowing it.

Eeewwww!

Anyway, looking forward to you coming back, and we'll both be hot on the trail!

CD: They lost the lease. I tried telling them you wouldn't come back, but ya know what they said? He likes food, and our food wasn't that great so he'll come back and go to the place out in collinsville to get the big blooming onion. :)
BJ: I can't wait to go out. I should be leaving tomorrow sometime and will be home on Wed. so I should be rested up by Friday to find some trouble.
CD: I haven't really messed with it. Maybe you can help me on Christmas. Also, I'm going to need help moving. Know anyone?

There were no sopapillas like Casa Bonita...the strolling Spanish musicians...made me wanna crawl under a table and live there forever...OMG...to die for...the fireflies and the volcano...gone, all gone...maybe they will reopen in a newer place. The sombreros were getting a little dusty. But my heart is breaking. Wah. OBTW, glad you are heading back before the big storm. And I hope my two daughters will finally find men to spend time with and not wait for.

Hey, I know this is way old but I just found your blog doing a search on Rhema - my husband attended Rhema Bible College so we lived there for two years, I LOOOOVED the lights, great memories, THEN we moved to MICHIGAN - I LOVE your picture sitting on rocks next to Lake Michigan. Great memories from there, too - we lived in Manistee and Ludington for a few months each. Absolutely beautiful, but we missed our Colorado mountains. By the way, y'all come on out and visit Casa Bonita Denver - still open last I knew!! I like the cliff divers. And I just have to add a word of encouragement - you will find someone, you will!!! God has someone for you who will be willing to live and if necessary die for you and think you are totally wonderful! Just spend this time becoming the best possible person you can be on your own so your man will recognize you when someday you brush shoulders in passing acquaintance! My husband always laughs when he hears people say they will never find someone because he figures that means it's just around the corner - don't give up hope!!!
