You've got to be kiddin me!?!!

Yesterday my Realtor called with great news. My favorite house was going to be mine. I put a bid on it back in August and there was a lot of confusion, the couple was getting divorced, there was a short sale..blah blah blah. The bank finally looked at the offers and my Realtor called, and said they accepted my offer. I got goosebumps from my head to my toes, and was so excited I could barley dial the phone to call Mom. Last night we went and celebrated at Applebees.

This morning, while at my eye doctor appointment (I'm wearing contacts again woo hoo) my Realtor called back and said that she was wrong, it wasn't my offer.

Sigh.

Heartbroken doesn't even begin to explain how I'm feeling.

Oh, Jamie, I am so deeply disappointed for you. I was so excited about that house I was already planning the parties I wanted you to invite me to so I could enjoy your house! At this point, "meant-to-be" type of advice means jack shit, so I won't go there. Just know I love you and am sincerely praying for you to find THE HOUSE.

Strangely, this doesn't daunt me. I know in my heart that God will give Jamie a house that is her heart's desire. But I am not in her shoes. I can understand how hard it is for her to live with us when she is used to her independence. And how much she would like to settle down and have a place where she can really chill. Especially since she has been so close to it so many times. So no jack-shit advice from me, either. Just to say I am sorry things like this have to be so hard for so long. All a parent wants is to see their child happy.
