One Eye..

Well, this was not the post I had intended. I woke up Friday morning with my right eye swollen and red. Mom took me to a med center where they said I had a corneal abrasion and gave me some drops. She also said that by the next day, Saturday, I should be feeling a lot better. On saturday, I really wasn't and still had to work with a doctors note. Sunday I woke up and my eye was completly swollen shut. Dad took me back to the med center and they discovered an ulcer on my eye and referred me to a specialist.
I just got back from the specialist and was advised that I have a very serious infection, and am off work until at least wednesday, when I go back to see (ha ha) what kind of progress has been made with the once an hour eye drops. The biggest concern is scar tissue which will cause me not to have the same vision, and my job. My boss isn't being very nice about the whole thing.
Who is being very nice to me? Dan. Dan has been awesome. He cooks for me and gives me my eyedrops, takes me anyplace I need to go, and waits for me. Runs to the pharmacy whenever I need. I'm really glad he's here to help me.

As long as you have your doctor's note, there is not much your boss can do but be a bitch, which it sounds like she is rather enjoying. I didn't realize your eye was that serious. I hope you get feeling better soon, Jamie. Love you, sis!

UPDATE: I went back to the specialist today, and things are progressing, slowly but progressing the same. I'm off work until Monday, by then she says I should be able to see, not completely but see somewhat. She said, the first round is, to clear up the infection round two will be repair. So it seems like this will be an ongoing problem.
Meanwhile as long as my viccoden holds out, I should be ok.
