Jamie's bad day

I had a bad day today. I was going to the casino today, on the way up there, my car just stopped. My cell phone couldn't get network, so we had to walk to find a phone, and a tow truck. We take it to a place that came highly recommended. My timing chain broke which results in a bunch of more expensive repairs. So my car sits about 2 hours away from home, waiting for parts with an almost $700 bill.
I'm really glad though that I've got the money to cover it now. The only very scary thing is, that they could fix it and find out that the engine is no good so that just means that I might be out the money and a car.
Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Sure hate those dang car repairs. Very costly. Hope everything comes out ok. Will keep you in our prayers.

Your little engine purrs like a kitten (except in second gear) so I think it is probably okay. As for the casino, it maybe wasn't your lucky day. But then again, there is always something to be glad for. After all, you could have gone to the casino, lost money and got stranded even farther away....so hey.

So your car's not dead? whew... You're story sounded a lot like the next chapter in the history of our family curse.

Given our typical luck (excluding the golden-child of course), the car would have not only been completely useless, it would have been leaking something toxic that would cost you thousands of dollars to dispose of. Does that sound about right? Going in debt to get rid of a car that you really need and have already spent a bunch of money to fix?

I think I can safely say that the date is going well. Number one, they both showed up which is a good sign. Number two, it is the wee hours and I just got a call that they are still hangin' out. So...cross your fingers everyone and stay tuned.
