This is why we love our state. Living on the coast means you get to see nature's beauty every day. What this picture doesn't show are the ice-covered trees that sparkled brighter than any diamond when the sun hit them...and how everything gleamed from the ice storm yesterday. It was incredible. Of course, waxing poetic over Mother Nature is much easier for those of us who didn't lose power and are now freezing, or rubbing shoulders with God knows who in a shelter.
I deeply regret not getting a picture of the tree in our front yard yesterday. When the sun hit it, it was breath-taking. God only knows when we'll have another ice storm followed by a sunny afternoon.
I told the twins diamonds were growing on the trees. I thought they'd be more interested, but instead, they got all into sucking on icicle lollipops.

I fully agree with you both. I remember that spot that is on the right side of the channel if you are faceing the lake. Right?

Actually Gram, this is taken from a landing on the steps at Kruse Park. Which is before the channel.
